Tito Agnoli "Sistina" Leather Chair for Matteo Grassi, 1980s
Leather chair model "Sistina" in reddish-brown leather, designed by Tito Agnoli for Matteo Grassi, from the 1980s. Its clean lines, high-quality leather upholstery, and warm color patina make this piece a characteristic example of Italian design from this period.
Tito Agnoli (1931–2012) is one of the most influential Italian designers and architects of the post-war era. His furniture is known for its calm, precise formal language and a consistent preference for high-quality materials. The Matteo Grassi manufacturer, in turn, is internationally recognized for its excellently crafted leather upholstery and has collaborated with leading Italian designers for decades.
The Sistina chair is in very good vintage condition and shows a beautiful, developed patina. The older and more used this type of furniture is, the more beautiful it becomes — the surface develops a depth that new furniture cannot achieve. Suitable as a standalone piece at a desk, in a reading area, or in combination with other design classics.
Dimensions: Height 80 cm, Width 44 cm, Depth 53 cm, Seat height 46 cm.
