Westnofa Leather Stool Siesta Design Ingmar Relling Norway 1965
Westnofa Leather Stool Siesta Design Ingmar Relling Norway 1965
Original Westnofa Siesta stool, designed by Ingmar Relling in 1965 in Norway. The piece is designed as a complementary stool to the Siesta armchair of the same name, but also functions just as convincingly as a standalone piece of furniture — a stool practically always finds its place in a room.
Ingmar Relling (1920–2002) is one of the most influential Norwegian furniture designers of the 20th century. His Siesta range is among the most internationally renowned Scandinavian seating furniture and represents the clear, constructive design language of Norwegian modernism. Characteristic features are the beech wood frame, the linen support straps, and the upholstered leather cushion — a carefully thought-out combination of wood, textile, and leather, executed in proven Westnofa quality.
The cognac-colored leather shows a beautifully developed patina and underlines the vintage character of the piece. The stool is in excellent original condition and is a sought-after collector's item for lovers of Scandinavian Mid-Century design, as well as a pleasantly usable piece of furniture in reading, living, or working areas.
Dimensions: Height 47 cm, Width 63 cm, Depth 54 cm.
