Westnofa Leather Stool Siesta Design Ingmar Relling Norway 1965

Westnofa Leather Stool Siesta Design Ingmar Relling Norway 1965

Original Westnofa Siesta stool, designed by Ingmar Relling in 1965 in Norway. The piece is designed as a complementary stool to the Siesta armchair of the same name, but works just as convincingly as a standalone piece of furniture — a stool practically always finds its place in a room.

Ingmar Relling (1920–2002) is one of the most influential Norwegian furniture designers of the 20th century. His Siesta program is among the most internationally renowned Scandinavian seating furniture and represents the clear, constructive design language of Norwegian modernism. Characteristic features include the beech wood frame, linen support straps, and the upholstered leather cushion — a carefully thought-out combination of wood, textile, and leather, executed in proven Westnofa quality.

The cognac-colored leather shows a beautifully developed patina and emphasizes the vintage character of the piece. The stool is in excellent original condition and is a sought-after collector's item for lovers of Scandinavian mid-century design, as well as a pleasantly versatile piece of furniture for reading, living, or work areas.

Dimensions: Height 47 cm, Width 63 cm, Depth 54 cm.
