Four-piece set of Danish solid rosewood dining chairs, crafted in the 1960s based on a design attributed to Vestervig Eriksen for the Danish workshop Brødrene Tromborg (Brdr. Tromborg) — one of the characteristic design languages of post-war Danish seating with its distinctive backrest construction featuring a narrow curved upper cap and a curved arch-shaped crossbar beneath it. This double crossbar, ergonomically raised at the ends, gives the silhouette a light, almost floating appearance while providing noticeably comfortable lumbar support — a detail with which Vestervig Eriksen and Brdr. Tromborg developed their own instantly recognizable signature within Danish dining seating between the mid-50s and late 60s. The tapered legs and neatly crafted mortise and tenon joints to the seat frame are classic signals of Danish carpentry tradition, while the deep warm grain of the rosewood — with its inherent dark streaks in a honey-warm base tone — unfolds its full sculptural effect in its restored condition. The seat surfaces have been completely re-upholstered and covered with high-quality vegan artificial leather in matte black — a conscious animal-free material choice that accommodates the ecological demands of today's interior buyers and gives the ensemble an immediately usable, well-maintained appearance.

Each chair measures 46 cm in width, 52 cm in depth, and 83.5 cm in height with a seat height of 44 cm — the classic Danish Modern proportions for balanced and comfortable dining seating. As a closed set of 4, the chairs are suitable for a dining table from 140 to 180 cm in length and, with their slender, upright silhouette, form a discreet yet characterful ensemble that can be confidently combined with a classic Danish extendable table made of rosewood or teak, as well as with a modern marble or concrete table. Very good reconditioned condition: all frames firm and wobble-free, the rosewood neatly restored and with uniform polish, the aprons highlighted in contrast, all mortise and tenon joints intact, the new vegan upholstery firm and flawless. A collectible and everyday-suitable ensemble of Danish post-war modernism from the period when Vestervig Eriksen, Kai Kristiansen, Kurt Østervig, and H.W. Klein made Danish dining seating a global design classic.
