V. Nason & C. Murano "Avventurina" spherical table lamp, black glass with copper aventurine, 1970s/80s

A striking Murano glass table lamp from the "Avventurina" series by V. Nason & C. — the workshop that Vincenzo Nason founded in 1967 after his time at Venini on Murano, and whose signature technique is black glass with embedded copper-aventurine particles. The spherical, mouth-blown base features finely distributed rose-copper-colored inclusions in its deep black base tone, which sparkle in incident light like metal shards scattered underwater and transform into a calm, deep-shimmering surface in the dark. A cylindrical brass fitting with a patinated surface, a screw-on shade ring, and an E27 socket sits on the glass body.

The base measures 26 cm in diameter, and with the conical shade, the total diameter is 53 cm and the total height is 63 cm. The condition is very good: the glass is chip and crack-free, the copper inclusions are evenly distributed, and the brass neck shows a beautiful, age-appropriate vintage patina. The electrics have been tested for functionality; professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended for final connection. The picture shows the lamp with two shade variations (cream white and orange) — both are top shades and can be easily replaced with any other conical E27 top shade, allowing the lamp to be adapted to the desired interior.
