V. Nason & C. Murano "Avventurina" spherical table lamp, black glass with copper aventurine, 1970s/80s

A distinctive Murano glass table lamp from the "Avventurina" series by V. Nason & C. — the workshop Vincenzo Nason founded in 1967 after his time at Venini in Murano, whose signature technique is black glass with embedded copper aventurine particles. The spherical, hand-blown base features finely distributed rosé-copper colored inclusions in its deep black base tone, which sparkle like metal shards scattered underwater in reflected light and become a calm, deeply shimmering surface in the dark. A cylindrical brass socket with a patinated surface, screwed-on shade ring, and E27 fitting sits on the glass body.

The base measures 26 cm in diameter; with the conical shade, the lamp has a diameter of 53 cm and a total height of 63 cm. The condition is very good: the glass is chip and crack-free, the copper inclusions are evenly distributed, and the brass neck shows a beautiful, age-appropriate vintage patina. The electrics have been functionally tested; for final connection by a specialist is recommended. The picture shows the lamp with two shade variants (creamy white and orange) — both are top-fitting shades and can be easily exchanged for any other conical E27 top-fitting shade, allowing the lamp to be adapted to the desired interior.
