Table lamp, Björn Wiinblad for Rosenthal Studio-Linie, 100th Anniversary Edition, Hand-painted, 1979/80

An elegant ceramic table lamp, designed by Björn Wiinblad for the Rosenthal Studio-Linie, manufactured as part of the limited 100th anniversary edition of Rosenthal — produced exclusively during the official anniversary period from August 1979 to July 1980. The bulbous, bell-shaped lamp base in cream-white glaze features a hand-painted, vibrant cobalt blue decor of stylized spiral rosettes with leaf and floral tendrils at the transition to the lamp neck — typical of Wiinblad's artful, colorful design language for the Rosenthal Studio-Linie.

On the underside, there is the official anniversary mark "100 Jahre … GERMANY" with the note of the manufacturing period, as well as the handwritten blue inscription "Handgemalt" (Hand-painted) — together, clear proof of origin, authenticity, and the elaborate manual painting of this time-limited produced piece.

Included is a matching lampshade in a strong blue, which beautifully showcases the warm glow of the cream-colored interior.
