Round Mirror Tray Brass, attributed to Josef Frank — Svenskt Tenn, 1950s

Round mirrored tray with polished brass frame and triple loop brass wire handles mounted on both sides - a design language closely associated with Josef Frank and his work for Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm. The tray measures 30 cm in diameter and is 3 cm high.

The mirrored surface shows the warm discolouration at the edges typical of 1950s mercury mirrors - the so-called "foxing" patina, which is considered a design quality and immediately identifies the piece as authentically old. There is no preserved manufacturer's mark, which is why the tray is usually listed on the market as "attributed to Josef Frank". Condition: overall very good, brass with a beautiful original patina.
