Sölken Chrome Glass Wall Sconces, Germany 1970s

These 1970s wall lights were manufactured by the German company Sölken. The combination of chrome-plated metal and a textured, clear glass sphere is typical of German lighting production from this period and represents the calm, clear design language of the 1970s.

Sölken was a German lighting manufacturer who primarily worked with chrome, glass, and simple geometric basic forms during this period. The textured glass sphere softly diffuses the light, giving the object a light, almost floating character, while the heavy construction quality of the metal body is a reminder of the solidity of this era.

The lights are well-suited for use in pairs next to a mirror, on a sideboard, in a hallway, in a bedroom, or as accent lighting in a Mid-Century or 1970s interior. Due to their understated form, they can also be integrated into modern rooms with individual vintage objects.

Each light requires a bulb with an E14 socket. LED bulbs are also possible. There are currently 3 identical lights available; the price refers to one light.
