Scandinavian Maritime Pendant Lamp, Glass & Brass, 1960s

A Scandinavian-maritime pendant lamp from the 1960s, combining white opal glass with beautifully patinated brass. The shape appears calm and balanced, while the combination of materials gives the lamp a warm, period-typical character.

The piece comes from a Danish-furnished household and was acquired in the mid-1960s. Such maritime-looking lamps are closely associated with Scandinavian interior design of this period and are part of the classic lighting language there — they look particularly good above the dining table, in the kitchen, in the hallway, or in a room with Scandinavian furnishings. The opal glass diffuses the light softly and evenly, and the brass with its patina emphasizes the original vintage character.

The condition is good. The brass is slightly patinated in places, the lamp shows no damage and is immediately ready for use. It requires a light source with an E27 socket and can be used internationally without modification. The chain can be shortened or replaced with a longer chain if necessary.
