A small, introverted figure sitting on the floor: knees drawn up, the spherical head slightly tilted to the side and downwards, the back softly rounded. The reduced, almost archaic-looking form thrives on its stillness—it does without any facial expression and yet conveys concentration, devotion, and contemplation. The hand-modeled surface features a dark iron glaze with warm, coppery shimmering spots on the shoulders, arms, and legs, which catches the light very nuancedly. Measuring 11.5 × 6 × 9.5 cm (W × D × H), the sculpture has a pleasant feel in the hand and fits anywhere: on a bookshelf, desk, windowsill, or as a quiet accent next to a candle.

The underside shows the unglazed, light shard with an incised artist's signature—a line monogram, presumably initials, set very hand-written. The thematic and formal proximity to contemplative, sacred studio ceramics of the 1980s is clear; comparable sitting, meditating figures were frequently created during this period in the environment of monastic workshops or by freelance sculptors with a spiritual focus. The condition is very good: uniform glaze, no breaks, only the typical, intentional surface texture of handmade studio ceramics.
