Roland Rainer Armchair Model 702 for Wilkhahn, 1960s

Roland Rainer Armchair Model 702 for Wilkhahn, 1960s

1 of 2 available armchair model 702, designed by Roland Rainer for Wilkhahn, dating from the 1960s. The design represents a clear, minimalist design language and combines functional furniture design with understated elegance - a classic of German-speaking post-war modernism.

Roland Rainer (1910–2004) was one of the most important Austrian architects and urban planners of the 20th century and at the same time created an independent body of furniture work. His designs appear objective, light, and constructive. Model 702 clearly demonstrates this attitude: slender lines, compact proportions, and a structure that deliberately dispenses with superfluous details. This allows the chair to be integrated equally well into modern and classic interiors.

The armchair is in very good to good condition and is a beautiful piece of design history for collectors and lovers of classic post-war furniture. An authentic Wilkhahn original from the 1960s.

Dimensions: Width 55 cm, Depth 55 cm, Height 73.5 cm, Seat height 46 cm.

The price refers to one chair, two chairs are available.
