Murano glass shell, Italy 1960s

Impressive large bowl made of clear Murano glass with yellow inclusions, crafted in the shape of a scallop shell. The glass combines a clear, transparent basic structure with fine color inclusions, giving the bowl a vibrant depth and a distinct sculptural presence.

Its design language is reminiscent of Carlo Nason's designs and is in the tradition of Italian glass art of the 1960s, a period when Murano developed not only functional vessels but also pieces consciously understood as design objects. Natural forms such as shells, waves, or organic bowls are recurring motifs of this phase and can be found in the works of various manufacturers.

With its generous size, the bowl is very well suited as a central decorative object on a sideboard, a coffee table, or a console and works well in both Mid-Century interiors and modern rooms with selected vintage objects. Excellent condition.
