Murano "Tutti Frutti" Triangle Dish — Multicolor flecked, AVEM/Fratelli Toso-style, 1960s

Hand-formed Murano freeform bowl with a triangular base and three gracefully upward-curved rim lobes, designed in the iconic "Tutti Frutti" color family of the Muranese glassworks AVEM and Fratelli Toso, which between the 1950s and late 1960s made the multicolored a macchie bowls with fused color fragments one of the most memorable symbols of Italian post-war modernism. Irregularly shaped chunks of deep cobalt blue, brilliant grass green, warm amber yellow, opal white clouds, and individual rosé-violet and black specks float in a thick, crystal-clear casing — each line of sight reveals a different chromatic miniature panorama, while the enclosing clear glass encases the fragments in a sommerso-like manner and provides the colors with an optical depth that remains vibrant even in subdued indoor light.

The side length is 20 cm, the flared rim corners rise to 9 cm — a very pleasant medium format that functions equally well as a vide-poche in the antechamber, as a jewelry dish in the bedroom, as a center piece on a console, or as an ashtray object on a coffee table. The solid glass body feels substantial and valuable in hand, the center of the base is smoothly polished and ground, the three flared rims are freehand-formed and slightly asymmetrical — the characteristic signal of artisanal Muranese freeform work. Very good original condition: no visible chips, no scratches, the clear glass without clouding, the color fragments completely intact and with brilliant color fusion.
