Murano, near Venice, has been one of the world's leading centers for glassmaking since the 13th century. In the 1960s, the island experienced a particularly creative phase: manufacturers such as Venini, Barovier & Toso, and Seguso experimented with bold color gradients, trapped air bubbles, and sommerso layering – techniques that still define this period for collectors today.

This bowl dates from precisely that era. Warm hues of red, yellow, orange, and brown merge into a fiery play of colors that shifts between luminous transparency and rich glow depending on the light. The organically shaped wall reveals the handcrafted modeling typical of Murano, making each piece unique.

Very good, original condition from the 1960s. An expressive collector's item that adds a striking accent to a sideboard, coffee table, or display cabinet arrangement.
