Brass Flush Mount 12-Light Ceiling or Wall Lamp, Spiral Sciolari/Leola 1960s/70s

Brass Flush Mount 12-Light Ceiling or Wall Lamp, Spiral Sciolari/Leola 1960s/70s

A flat ceiling light made of polished brass, as used in Italian Space Age aesthetics of the late 1960s and early 1970s in living rooms, restaurants, and bars — twelve slightly curved brass arms spiral out from a central cylindrical body in a swirling rotation, each ending in a slender E14 candle holder with a spherical brass balance head. Its low profile makes it an excellent choice for rooms where a classic, low-hanging chandelier would be too much; it fully unfolds its effect over a round dining table, in an entrance hall, or as an eye-catcher in a corridor.

The diameter is 53 cm, the height is 19 cm; the light is mounted directly to the ceiling or wall and holds twelve E14 bulbs (not included), recommended with mirror-head bulbs for atmospheric general lighting. The design language — spiral arm arrangement, spherical socket caps, cylindrical canopy body — is the documented signature of the Sciolari/Leola cooperation between Rome and the German license producer Leola Leuchten; without a preserved factory label, it remains a stylistic attribution. The condition is good vintage condition with an even brass patina and functional electrics.
