Josef Werner studied from 1970 to 1975 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under the direction of Professor Karl Fred Dahmen (1917-1981) and graduated with a diploma. Since 1973 he has held numerous exhibitions in Europe and the USA. His studio was in New York from 1974 to 1984. His works are represented in both private and public collections.
