Jette Andersen Studio Pottery Vessel, Denmark 1980s

A handmade studio ceramic vessel by Danish artist Jette Andersen from the 1980s. The piece is marked on the bottom and combines a calm basic form with the characteristic, handcrafted expression of individual Scandinavian studio ceramics.

Studio ceramics from this period consciously differentiate themselves from industrially produced ceramics. The pieces are designed as individual items, not in large editions, and show subtle differences in form, surface, and glaze. The Danish tradition stands in a long line with workshops and manufacturers such as Saxbo, Royal Copenhagen, Bing & Grøndahl, or the independent studios of the 1970s and 1980s, where many artists developed their own distinct positions.

With its clear form and subtle presence, the vessel is very well suited as a decorative object on sideboards, shelves, or tables and is also of interest to collectors of Scandinavian studio ceramics. Very good condition, no damage.
