Jacques & Dani Ruelland 'Boule' Vase, yellow glaze, signed, France 1960s

Small, spherical vase from the "Boule" series by Jacques (1926–2008) and Dani Ruelland (1933–2010), one of the most significant French ceramist couples of the post-war period. The shape – a roundish, tear-drop-shaped body with a slender, slightly flared neck – is one of the most characteristic designs of the duo from Paris, later Avignon: Dani modeled the forms, Jacques was responsible for the enameling. The vase is executed in a rich, high-gloss yellow to mustard-yellow glaze, typical for the Ruellands in the 1960s, with a subtle brownish tint at the rim. Signed "Ruelland" incised on the underside.

Dimensions: approx. 10.5 cm high, 10.5 cm diameter – a compact collector's item for a console, bookshelf, or as a standalone piece on a desk. Condition: very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks, the glaze without significant signs of wear. Due to the handcrafted individual production, each piece by the Ruellands is unique – this small format with the bright yellow glaze is considered particularly sought after and rare on the market.
