Hillebrand 7444 Swivel Arm Desk Lamp, Travertine & Brass, 1970s/1980s

Elegant table lamp by the German manufacturer Hillebrand, model 7444, from the late 1970s to 1980s. The rare version impresses with its high-quality combination of a travertine base with brass elements — a choice of materials that particularly precisely illustrates Hillebrand's design vocabulary during this period.

Hillebrand Leuchtenfabrik is one of the traditional German lighting manufacturers of the 20th century and stands for sophisticatedly constructed lighting objects in which natural materials such as marble, travertine, or stone are deliberately combined with metal. The flexible swivel arm allows for individual light direction and makes the lamp particularly versatile in its function — as a reading and desk lamp or as an atmospheric light source on a side table.
