Large Murano Glass Bowl "Fire", Italy 1960s
Large Murano Glass Bowl "Fire", Italy 1960s
A particularly expressive large Murano glass bowl from the 1960s. The old Murano glass label is still present on the inside, clearly attributing the bowl to the Venetian glass tradition and further highlighting its collector's value.
The striking feature is above all the intense color scheme in the transition from deep red tones to warmer yellow and orange nuances, which give the bowl its character as "fire" glass. Such color gradients are created in Murano glassblowing by layering and fusing different glass masses — a craft technique that makes each bowl unique.
With its generous proportions, the bowl looks particularly good on a sideboard, a dining table or a console and works well in both Mid-Century interiors and modern rooms with selected vintage objects. The condition is immaculate, without damage.
Dimensions: Width 50 cm, Depth 26.5 cm, Height 19 cm.
