Grandjean-Jourdan Vallauris ceramic vase, blue, 1960s

Elegant signed ceramic vase by Grandjean-Jourdan from Vallauris, Southern France, dated around the 1960s. The calm silhouette and intense blue hue give the piece a subtle yet very striking effect—typical of high-quality French studio ceramics of that period.

Vallauris is one of the most influential ceramic centers of the 20th century. For several decades, numerous well-known workshops and artists worked here, including Pablo Picasso, who brought international recognition to the region. The Grandjean-Jourdan family operated their own ceramic workshop in Vallauris and is now particularly sought after for their signed vases and vessels in deep blue and expressive hues.
