Charming 1950s French parlor lamp with a high-rising shaft of delicate pink pressed glass, its assembled glass beads rhythmically structuring the entire column and lighting up with countless small reflections when backlit. The wide base plate is blown from the same salmon-pink glass and supports the shaft in elegant balance, while the original brass B22 bayonet socket with a warm age patina forms the crown—including the classic small heart-shaped cut-out in the bayonet ring, as was often found on French vintage sockets of this era. The original, accompanying shade in warm butter to ivory yellow is structured with a fine basketweave embossing and features a braided passementerie border in gold and cream tones at the top and bottom edges. With a lamp base height of 36 cm and a base diameter of 13.5 cm, a shade diameter of 31 cm, and a total height of 50 cm, the lamp is an ideal size for a bedside table, chest of drawers, bookshelf, or secretaire—it is not a bulky floor lamp, but rather the refined, warm parlor lamp of French post-war living culture.

Very good, well-maintained vintage condition: the glass shaft and base are complete, without chips or cracks. The brass socket shows the typical warm age patina—not looking new, but aged and honest. The original shade has a slight cream lining and isolated age spots in the basketweave paper—it is functionally stable and complete, but a connoisseur's detail that contributes to the authenticity of this 70-year-old lamp.
