Brutalist Tripod Stool, 1970s

Brutalist Tripod Stool, 1970s

This tripod stool from the 1970s is designed in the Brutalist style. The body is made of carved wood and features a dark, warm wood tone with a distinct grain, which gives the object a calm, archaic character.

Brutalist furniture of the 1970s deliberately presents itself as sculptural individual pieces. Structured surfaces, strong forms and visible craftsmanship are at the forefront. The tripod stool is a typical example of this: the three massive legs, the carved seat and the dark tone give the object a strong presence and make it an eye-catcher in any room.

The stool is suitable as both a seat and a side table, as a sculptural object in a seating group or as an accent piece in an entrance area. It goes well with interiors featuring dark woods, leather, stone or other characterful materials. It is in very good condition.

Dimensions: height 79 cm, width 49 cm, depth 40 cm, seat height 40 cm.
