Deknudt Mirror Column, Belgium, 1980s

Original mirrored pedestal from the Belgian manufacturer Deknudt, dating from the 1980s. Currently, two identical pedestals are available and can be purchased individually or as a pair — arranged symmetrically, they create a particularly balanced effect in the room.

Deknudt Mirrors is one of Belgium's traditional mirror and frame manufacturers. The mirrored pedestals from the 1980s are typical of the design vocabulary of that period: fully mirrored geometries, clear volumes, and the deliberate use of reflection as a design element. Such objects now combine well with postmodern furniture, Hollywood Regency accents, or modern interiors where a single gleaming piece is strategically placed.

The pedestals can be used both as small side tables and as plant stands — in both functions, they act as very decorative objects. The overall condition is good, with age-appropriate signs of wear on the body. The mirrored surfaces themselves are in perfect condition.
