Art Deco ceiling lamp, faceted teardrop shade made of frosted ice glass, brass fitting, 1920s/30s

A classic Art Deco ceiling lamp with a faceted drop shade made of frosted, textured pressed glass, also known as "ice glass" for its finely hammered, grained surface structure, which diffuses light softly and without glare. The shade is cut in a hexagonal-angular shape and tapers downwards to a distinctive teardrop form – a typical geometric design feature of Art Deco lighting from the 1920s and 30s. The glass body is held by an original brass fitting with a stepped, fluted neck and a round ceiling rose that elegantly finishes the transition to the ceiling.

With a height of 23 cm and a diameter of 12 cm, the lamp is compact enough for hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, or low rooms, yet its clear geometric design ensures it is anything but inconspicuous. When switched on, the frosted structure fully reveals its effect: warm, evenly diffused light without harsh shadows. The condition is very good, the glass without chips or cracks, the brass fitting with the warm patina characteristic of its age.
