70s Glass and Chrome Pendant Lamp

70s Glass and Chrome Pendant Lamp

Elegant pendant lamp from the 1970s, combining a glass body with a clearly constructed chrome ring. Its tranquil silhouette and compact, almost floating effect make the piece a typical lighting object of the late Mid-Century and Space Age period.

Lamps made of glass and chrome are among the defining lighting motifs of German and European design in the 1970s. Manufacturers such as Glashütte Limburg, Peill & Putzler, Doria or Staff developed a distinctive design language during this period, in which industrially precisely manufactured glass forms were combined with chrome-plated metal elements to create functional, yet very atmospheric lighting objects. The satin to semi-matt glass diffuses the light softly and evenly, while the chrome ring sets a clear, cool accent line — a combination that holds its own in both vintage and modern spaces.

The pendant lamp is very well suited above a dining table, a counter, in an entrance area, in the hallway or as a subtle light accent in a living room. Due to its compact design, it can also be discreetly integrated into lower rooms, while as a solitaire at a free pendant height it fully unfolds its sculptural effect.

The condition is very good. The chain/pendulum can be shortened if necessary to adapt the suspension to the respective room situation.

Dimensions: Diameter 28 cm, height with ring 39 cm, total height to ceiling mount 65 cm.
